Blackhead loop

Excellent day out. Varied riding amazing views. One really hard technical xc/downhill run. Brilliant. Shame about all the gates. Start and finish on the beach at Fanore.

  2. I did this last March, great fun though had to push some of it. The video shows a longer trail than the map, have not tried it. Shorter one still a good couple of hours out though.

  3. There can be a bit of an access issue after the hard descent..often a bull awaits in the bottom field where you avoid the HORRIBLE traverse above Gleninagh castle (coolsiva pier)..but if on bike, do not use the signposted traverse section..its narrow, full of tree-stumps and briars, high walled, and is a 1mile carry! Rejoin route where it becomes visible again. Locals can be a little moody sometimes..

  4. Just completed this route today. Loved it. Some really great descents, particularly the last bit.
Kept going down that descent and out onto the road below. Missed the turn left to take the high trail above/parallel to main road. Maybe next time.

Cheers for this video, watched it a few times and tried to memorise as much as I could... It came in very handy a couple of times today trying to find my way.
